Drobnica is an extra virgin olive oil derived from the same name of the olive variety that lives exclusively in the area of Vele Luke since ancient Roman times. The influence of the dry climate of the nearby island of Sušac, the settlement of Vela Luka, a small rocky land, are the ideal conditions for the success of this olive. In such crude conditions, the fruit of the olives is drogan (small). But nature has come back with a special oil, a specific taste, and aroma, which gives the peculiarity of all Mediterranean dishes, especially fish.
This liqueur is obtained bymaceration of dried ripe fruit of carob,Ceratonia siliqua, containing minimum of 14% fructose, vitamins A, B, B2, B3, and D, as well significant amounts of calcium, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, manganese, boron copper and zinc. Served slightly chilled as independent beverage or as an addition to desserts and creams for cakes as a natural fruit sugar.
